TAORMINA - In a comprehensive feature penned by correspondent Valerio Cappelli, Corriere della Sera lavishes praise on the Better World Fund, an event recently held in Venice as part of the International Film Festival. The BWF 2023 event also brought the spotlight to the city of Taormina, where Mayor Cateno De Luca received an honor. Now, Taormina aims to be the official home for the Better World Fund from 2024 onwards.
Described by Corriere della Sera as "the international forum co-founded by Manuel Collas de la Roche, in collaboration with the captivating producer Valentina Castellani Quinn (whose husband was Francesco Quinn, the son of the legendary Anthony Quinn, who sadly passed away in 2011 at the age of 48 while playing with his children)," this forum sought to emphasize humanitarian causes in both art and cinema. It dedicated a special segment to 'The Influence of Women in the World of Cinema,' and in a major announcement, confirmed that the next edition will grace the charming town of Taormina. De la Roche remarked, "The film industry provides powerful role models that defy conventional expectations and champion women's empowerment. This dynamic contributes to forging a more equitable and inclusive society." The proceeds from the gala evening will be allocated to the Maria Callas Foundation, celebrating the centennial birth anniversary of the soprano, "a woman emblematic of passionate talent and unwavering diligence."
