ILTM Asia Pacific: Achieving Unprecedented Attendance Milestones

ILTM Asia Pacific

ILTM Asia Pacific. Gear up for an extraordinary installment of the International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) Asia Pacific. From July 1st to 4th, 2024, Marina Bay Sands will host its most significant gathering yet. With an impressive 650 international buyers projected to attend.

Steve O’Loughlin, ILTM's Hosted Buyers Manager, disclosed to TTG Asia: "This year's turnout of 650 accredited buyers signifies a remarkable 28% surge from 2023. Thirty-six percent originate from Australia and New Zealand, while over 100 high-end buyers from China will grace the event – doubling last year's figures."

Additionally, nine percent of participants hail from India, highlighting the region's importance for ILTM.

"With India's ongoing infrastructure expansion, including plans for additional airports over the next four to five years, we anticipate a promising upswing in outbound travel. It's imperative for us to engage with buyers involved in India's burgeoning wealth," added O’Loughlin.

This spike in attendance underscores the robust interest in travel across the region. Aligning with the anticipated rise in spending on leisure travel projects by outbound travelers.

O’Loughlin underscored ILTM's meticulous buyer selection process, ensuring the involvement of top-tier industry decision-makers. Buyers must demonstrate their dealings with high-net-worth individuals and maintain an annual income of at least one million pounds (1.3 million US dollars) to qualify.

Throughout the event, buyers will have 54 pre-scheduled 15-minute appointments, providing ample opportunities for meaningful connections. Moreover, they can partake in various networking opportunities during the Opening Forum and Closing Party. Additionally, this year's edition promises increased representation from European and Japanese destinations.

"There has been a discernible uptick in flights from Asia-Pacific to Europe, with European hotels actively participating in the exhibition. Inbound travel to Japan is also experiencing remarkable growth, with travelers increasingly exploring lesser-known destinations," explained O’Loughlin.

Among the noteworthy exhibitors are the Los Angeles Tourism Bureau, Edition Hotels, Banyan Tree, Wilderness Safaris, Avalon Waterways, and Uniworld.
