Cannes, July 29, 2024 – This weekend, the garden of Villa Rothschild in Cannes echoed with laughter and applause for the fifth season of the Villa Jamel Comedy Club. From July 23 to 27, the summer evenings were filled with humorous performances, DJ sets, and happenings, drawing a large audience eager to enjoy this unique outdoor event.
A Unique and Friendly Concept
Organized by Allover Production, Miala, and the Jamel Comedy Club in collaboration with the City of Cannes, this event has become a staple of the Cannes summer. The Villa Jamel Comedy Club, conceived by Jamel Debbouze, provides a platform for new comedy talent, and this fifth edition did not disappoint.
The enchanting setting of Villa Rothschild, transformed into an open-air theater, allowed spectators to enjoy performances with their feet in the grass and their heads in the stars. Each night, the audience was treated to eight talented comedians: Antek, Bambi, Ilyes Mela, Julien Santini, Marine Leonardi, Mouhamadou, Nash, and Rey Mendes.
A Rich and Diverse Lineup
Doors opened at 6:30 PM, giving spectators the chance to dine on-site before the shows began at 8 PM. For three hours, comedians took the stage in succession, delivering a mix of jokes, sketches, and musical performances, much to the delight of all.
